The Field Assembles

It’s been a month since the announcement of the re-designed and re-energised 2023 CUP REGATTA and the level of interest has been impressive (if a little daunting). So far 40 boats have indicated their intention to attend with 30 of those in the “RACING” category.

Planning for the supporting social activities is also progressing well with over 100 wooden boat affectionados intending to attend the celebration amongst the wood shavings, sawdust and historic boats in Ferdi Darley’s shed on the Friday evening before racing begins.

With many boats joining in in a Non-Racing capacity, we will be arranging a “Sail Past” of all craft prior to the first race on the Saturday, providing a spectacular procession of a cumulative 2000’s of years of timber boat craftsmanship on Port Phillip.

The Notice of Race, Entry Forms and official booking page should all be available early August but in the meantime if you haven’t yet registered your intention to participate you can do so HERE. It helps us with planning and logistics.
