Social Fest

For those of you not able to make it down to the AWBF, there are plenty of other ways to stay across what’s going on in and around Constitution Dock and Sullivan’s Cove

SWS’s chosen social media platform is instagram… so here are nine feeds that should be covering the event. There’s plenty of existing content from their journeys to the festival and hopefully plenty of imagery on its way from the event

Click on the images to link through to the accounts.

Nick is the Author of “The Years Thunder By” Nick made the trip down to Tassie aboard the Couta boat HUIA by himself! Great effort!

Steve is prolific on instagram sailing timber boats on both sides of Bass Strait. We love his feed at SWS

Kaci (all the way from NW USA) is another Author, “Finding Pax” and is sailing down to the festival from Victoria aboard Aage Neilson’s HOLGER DANSKE. Sure to be some great posts here!

RHONA H is a Hobart local at the smaller end of the Tall Ship fleet. The owners are also custodians of the Lyle Hess HEATHER BELLE. Regular Posters

Chris has just contributed the two MAORI LASS articles to SWS and is based in Kettering. He understands what small boat custodianship is all about!

One of the great perennial contributors to the AWBF, the Wooden Boatshop in Sorrento has a beautiful Insta feed. Led by Tim Phillips, I’m not sure where we’d be with out them!

Jim Woods’ recently restored Cray Boat from Victoria the MARGARET PEARL is making her first trip to the festival and will be making a splash with free music sessions on board. Looking at their feed it seems they still know where the Crays are!

This Laurent Giles Brittany Class IRENE left Geelong last Sunday on her way to the Festival. Sailed single Handed by Peter Ford.

And Last but not least SWS’s own feed…planning to bring you all the action!
